Meet Jeremy

Jeremy Cheng is a man of many talents: commercial pilot, audio engineer, professional musician, home builder, licensed Realtor®, and real estate investor. He was born in Honolulu and raised on the windward side of Oahu in Kaneohe. He now lives on the leeward side with his wife, Ashley, and four kids: Umi, Ella, Mila, and Kenna.

After graduating from Castle High School in 2005, Jeremy enrolled at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. His goal was to become a real estate investor, and he sought a career that would provide him the income necessary to begin investing. While taking classes, Jeremy set out to earn a commercial pilot license, which he received at nineteen.

On a flight to Kona in 2006, Jeremy experienced a near miss when another plane on a different frequency almost collided with his plane. This near-death experience led him to reassess his life path, and he took a six-month leave of absence from school. During this time, he bought a $50 guitar at Hawaii Music Supply and began hanging out with musicians, practicing five hours a day, and working nights as an audio engineer at live shows. He also worked as a handyman, honing carpentry and construction skills.

Jeremy became a professional musician in 2010. Over the next decade, he played thousands of engagements, sometimes gigging 20 times a week, with residencies all over Waikiki, including the Sheraton Waikiki, Moana Surfrider, and the Modern Honolulu. He also played corporate events and weddings. Through music, Jeremy was able to support his family, building his family’s home and multifamily investment property from the ground up.

In 2019, Jeremy founded Creative Building Solutions and partnered with a general contractor who serves as RME. During the pandemic, Creative Building Solutions found a booming business in home renovation, and Jeremy studied for and received his Realtor®’s license.
